Our Maker Market is chock full of artists from our community who make everything from paintings to leather to unique electronics. \u00a0This year, our makers are not reselling anything \u2013\u00a0it all comes from them.<\/p>\n

Emily Z Comics and Art <\/a><\/h3>\n

Emily is a Metro Detroit based comic book creator and illustrator.<\/p>\n

Her cartooned styled comics include both self-contained stories and miniseries and encompass a variety of plots, from a young paranormal exterminator to, of course, space travel.<\/p>\n

Emily also has an assortment of art and prints, so please check them out in the Maker Market hallway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Artifice FX<\/a><\/h3>\n

Artifice FX feat. artist Jeannie Arquette provides face\/ body painting services, handmade prosthetics and many other makeup supplies.<\/p>\n

Last year at Penguicon, we demoed a Dr. Who themed body painting, which had elements of Dalek technology.<\/p>\n

Artifice FX\u00a0will be doing live demos throughout the day so make sure to stop by often and book your appointment times early to get you custom costume makeup or body paint!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Crystal Mielcarek Illustration<\/a><\/h3>\n

Crystal\u00a0creates using an odd combination of the cute and the perverse with a myriad of dazzling colors.<\/p>\n

Her unique style allows the pieces to oscillate freely between whimsical, cute, satirical and wildly disturbing imagery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
